Mr. Jedele is entering his 16th year as band director at Lake Travis Middle School and has been doing band his entire life. A child of an Air Force bandsman, Mr. Jedele has performed in a variety of ensembles ranging from polka bands to The University of Texas Longhorn band and everything in between.
Currently, he plays trumpet in the Austin Symphonic Band. When is he is not performing or teaching, he enjoys reading, running, and spending time with his family.
In addition to teaching Honors Band, Mr. Jedele also teachings beginning trumpet, french horn, double reeds, and low brass.
Ms. Maletz is originally from the quaint town of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin where she was a band director for several years before moving to Texas for graduate school. Recently, Ms. Maletz graduated with her Master’s of Music Education degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio. At UTSA, she served as the graduate research assistant.
Ms. Maletz has also been recognized at her undergraduate alma mater as one of their Distinguished Young Alumni and has conducted the National Band Association: Wisconsin Chapter All-State Junior Honor Band.
Additionally, Ms. Maletz has presided at the Wisconsin State Music Educators Convention on her graduate work in retention in band from middle school to high school. Her written work on this subject has also featured on SmartMusic's website.
In her free time, Ms. Maletz enjoys cooking, the outdoors, yoga, traveling, and teaching the front ensemble at Southwind Drum and Bugle Corps (Mobile, AL).
Ms. Maletz is eager to start her third year at LTMS. Her teaching responsibilities include Symphonic Band and the beginning flute, clarinet, saxophone, and percussion classes.
Mr. Reddicks is the Assistant Director of Percussion for Lake Travis ISD. He coordinates percussion at Hudson Bend Middle School, Lake Travis Middle School, and Lake Travis High School.
Mr. Reddicks received his Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of North Texas in 2016, where he studied with Mark Ford, Paul Rennick, Christopher Deane, Ed Soph, and Jose Aponte. He has taught privately and in conjunction with multiple public schools in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
Mr. Reddicks was an active member of Drum Corps International as a member of the Oregon Crusaders (2009-2011), Boston Crusaders (2012), and Santa Clara Vanguard (2013-2014). At the conclusion of the 2014 season, Reddicks and the rest of the Santa Clara Vanguard percussion section were awarded the Fred Sanford High Percussion Award.
